On Monday, the court was told communication data and evidence retrieved from phones recorded Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most covered child disappearance cases and continues to be unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

One voicemail, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "What if there is a slight possibility that I'm her? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I possess a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," she added.

The panel was told that by means of electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to display a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with the police force who gathered the information, advised the court there "showed no any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted family friends of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will continue and I will prove my position."

The court heard Mrs Spragg developed a association online with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in that winter.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had contacted using messaging service to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be considered genuine in the months before the visit to Rothley, that area, in last December.

The court was told message exchanges between the two defendants, in November 2024, considering attempting to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to assert ourselves," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which expressed: "We're currently positioned adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off resembling detectives. I wanted to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The case ongoing.
