Barça to Host Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in La Liga over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
