Close to 90 Air Travels Connected to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Arrived at or Departed from British Airfields
Analysis has uncovered that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have landed at and took off from British airports, with some allegedly transporting women from the UK who allege they were victimized by the found guilty sex offender.
Flight Logs Show Trail of Travel
These aviation records were among thousands of court documents and papers released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been disclosed over the last year. The investigation uncovered 87 aircraft movements tied to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – landing or taking off from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and After Guilty Verdict Travel
Unidentified women were recorded among the individuals travelling into and out of the UK. Notably, 15 of these flights involving the UK took place following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a child.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘comprehensive British inquiry’ into his activities in the country,” said US lawyers acting for numerous Epstein victims.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
Testimony from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. Yet, that individual has not received any contact by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the the Met said they had “not been provided with any additional evidence that would support restarting the probe.” They commented, “Should fresh and pertinent information be presented to us, encompassing any arising from the release of documents in the US, we will review it.”
Ongoing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release every document held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The US justice department has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. A vast number of documents are anticipated to be released.
Separately, a federal judge ordered last week that the DOJ could disclose case files from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the charges.
