This event caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
